GOAT 23 is a free, single-page AFL drafting game. This policy explains what little data the game collects, why, and the choices you have about it.
If you choose to save your result to the public leaderboard, we store:
This is stored using Google's Firebase/Firestore service and is publicly visible to anyone viewing the leaderboard. We don't collect names, emails, passwords or any other account information — there is no account or login system in GOAT 23.
GOAT 23 uses your browser's local storage to remember small, non-identifying preferences (like whether you've dismissed the cookie banner). If analytics or ad personalisation is enabled on this site, those services may set their own cookies — you'll see a consent banner on your first visit, and you can choose "Essential only" to opt out of anything beyond what the game needs to function.
This site may display advertising served by Google AdSense. If enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google's Ads Settings, or decline non-essential cookies via the banner on this site.
We may use Vercel Web Analytics to understand overall traffic (page views, rough location, device type). This is aggregated and not tied to any personal identifier.
GOAT 23 is a general-audience sports trivia/drafting game and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy as the game adds features (for example, when advertising is switched on). The "Last updated" date above will change whenever we do.
